A path can be picked through the cold when you’re immersed in a place – as I was. As Autumn was. Winter slowed his approach at the sight of vibrant leaves, captivating crimson and gold.
December arrived. At first I wondered how the leaves could still have had such COLOUR, but it was simple: they chose not to be dulled by the icy air.

Not long after returning to a feverish Australia –
‘It was hard to imagine that Summer was home when the air in my nose was so icy cold, and it’s hard to believe that I was walking around in snow just over a week ago when the hot air envelopes me at midnight.’
But Autumn can shine through Winter, and so can Summer. So can Spring.
